Seethi Haji Cancer Detection and Treatment Centre
Cancer not only affects a person's health but also their financial and emotional well-being. After losing both his father and daugh- ter to cancer, Mr. PK Basheer was inspired to establish the Seethi Haji Cancer Detection and Treatment Centre in Edavanna, a rural area in Kerala. This facility provides essential cancer care services to underprivileged patients.
To further enhance our services, we are working towards establishing a radiation unit and a pathology lab in the near future.

Services Offered at SCDTC Edavanna
Cancer Screening and Early Detection (Primary Diagnosis)
Early detection significantly increases the chances of successful cancer treatment. This service involves screening tests to identify cancer at an early stage, even before symptoms appear, enabling timely intervention.
Oncologist Consultations (Cancer OP)
Specialized consultations with oncologists who diagnose and manage cancer treatment plans, providing expert guidance throughout the patient's journey.
Cancer Chemotherapy
Administration of anti-cancer drugs to destroy or inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Chemotherapy can be used alone or in combination with other treatments.
Mammograms
Low-dose X-ray imaging of the breasts to detect early signs of breast cancer, often before physical symptoms develop.
Ultrasound Scanning
A non-invasive imaging technique using high-frequency sound waves to visualize internal organs and tissues, aiding in the diagnosis of various conditions.
X-Ray Services
Radiographic imaging to view the internal structure of the body, commonly used to detect abnormalities in bones and certain organs
PAP Smear Test
A screening procedure for cervical cancer involving the collection of cells from the cervix to detect precancerous or cancerous changes.
Palliative Care for Cancer Patients
Comprehensive care aimed at improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses by managing symptoms and providing emotional and spiritual support.
FNAC Test
Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology involves using a thin needle to extract cells from a lump or mass for microscopic examination, aiding in diagnosis
Biopsy Test
The removal of a small sample of tissue for laboratory analysis to determine the presence or extent of a disease, such as cancer.
